Job Description

The Addison Central School District is seeking an engaging and student-centered candidate to join our team in the role of full time Elementary Special Education Teacher.  The Addison Central School District offers competitive salaries starting at a minimum of $53,375, comprehensive benefits, professional development, and ongoing new staff support.  This position is for the start of the 2025-2026 school year.  The successful candidate must:

  • Demonstrate the ability to build strong relationships in the school community
  • Demonstrate being a team player while working with grade level teams to support students
Job Qualifications

In addition to the above qualities the successful candidate will need the following:

  •  NYSED Special Education Certification, Students with Disabilities birth-grade 2, grades 1-6, all grades, or equivalent
  • Knowledge of developing and implementing IEP's, creating goals and monitoring the progress of the goals through intensive intervention and data collection
  • Knowledge of student disabilities and aligned strategies to support the various disabilities
